Why Successful people are HUMBLE ?
Show me your Rolex, your Porsche, your loft in SOHO, your million dollars account and I will tell you if you are successful! ....This is how I used to think when someone asked me to define success. Sad isn't it? In a culture where fortune favors the sharks and the wolves, modesty is often seen as the deer and the sheep. The strong vs the weak.
Being competitive, having no mercy for your peers and climbing to the top of a corporate ladder is often seen as the proper way to do. But it turns out, the secret to success and fulfillment may very well lie in your ability to express humility.
Being humble means that you are not showing "excessive" pride and self-satisfaction in your achievements or to be arrogant towards others. You can and should be proud of what you've achieved, but not in disproportionate way, it only flatter your ego. Being humble also means not putting yourself at a higher position than anyone else, we are all equal.
Humble people are also very generous. They don't expect things from other people, but give without any expectation of something in return. Is that a sign of weakness, or is it a higher understanding that giving bring us joy, sharing and in turn you will feel lighter, more fulfill and most certainly happier.
To me, success is no longer measure by the size of my bank account or the number of watches I have in my collection, but by my daily dose of happiness...to be in peace with myself and with other. Why seeking confrontation and competition, when you can be in sync with your surroundings
Climb the mountain so you can see the World, not so the World can see you.
BE HUMBLE!
